Gratitude

Putting in all my effort and time,
seems like everything is just a waste.
Feeling like it has been taken for granted,
all that I've done for you.

Simply putting everything aside,
not a single moment spent to appreciate it.
Not even considering what I did,
nor what I've been through just to do it.

Yet, despite what you made me feel like,
here I am, standing at your side.
Still doing those silly, nonsense things,
that you never seem to appreciate.

Though, I feel very grateful,
that I have you by my side.
I still love you deep inside my heart,
what I feel for you now grows stronger.

A Year

Just as time flies by unknowingly to most of us,
One year has passed by to when it became us.
A year filled with great memories and hardships,
the trials and the joys of us being together.

Hardships that only we can endure,
giving us pain yet strengthening our bond.
Trials that were meant to test us,
tested us and never tore us apart.

A time filled with great memories,
all of which will forever remain.
Always full of joy and happiness,
it was and will forever be that way.

The time to behold the wonders of our love,
supplied with patience and thankfulness.
Nothing can describe how grateful I am,
knowing you and being with you.

Far Away

As distant as the stars in space are,
it seems like you are so far, out of my reach.
Though in reality we are just a few steps away,
yet all I can do is catch a glimpse of you.

So near yet so far away, I don't understand why.
You're physically near me yet emotionally distant,
wherein I can only stare at you from my place.
Hoping you would know that I love you in doing so.

Outstandingly beautiful on the outside,
from the inside, a very warm person to know.
One of the best, if not the best, one thing is sure,
you'll surely be the best for me.

It's hard to approach you with all those people around,
I want approach you and ask you out.
Hoping to spend at least a day with you by my side,
with just the two of us in it, smiling happily.

Changes All Around

Everything will change,
all the things around us,
as nothing is permanent in this world,
except for one, Change.

Nothing will ever be the same again,
exactly like it was before.
For better or for worse,
change is sure to come anytime.

Time will pass,
no matter how, when and where,
it will go on and be gone.
A thing that will forever be lost once gone.

People come and go.
We met only yesterday,
and said our goodbyes the next day.
So, cherish each priceless moment

As I fear that I may lose track of it,

freeing me from emotional pain.

The Light

A heart that has been encased by thorns,

one that was shattered into a million pieces,

hiding itself from its bitter past, remaining closed to anyone,

became fully mended instantly when it met someone great.

A person of immense greatness and angel-like traits,

seeing her wonderful smile makes me want to melt away.

Hearing her soft voice takes all my pain and worries out.

The reasons why my heart has opened up once again.

A simply beautiful girl, both inside and outside.

The longer I look, the prettier she gets.

The more time I spend with her to get to know her well,

my heart keeps on skipping more and more beats.

I am content just being able to spend time with you,

which is why I could wish for nothing else more than that.

Neither treasure nor money can show how much you mean to me.

It is such an honor being able to have met and known you here.

Love

An emotion present in every being,

knowing no boundaries, no time limit, no exceptions.

Some would say it is a product of the mind,

others say it is felt from the bottom of the heart.

Some people believe it is so strong,

that it can change the wildest lion into a tame cat.

Yet others would say it is worth nothing,

something used just to waste time.

It is said to be a symbol of peace and unity,

the only hope for us to achieve world peace.

Also one of the reasons why people forgive and forget,

whatever someone has done to them.

To be loyal and faithful may seem a bit hard,

to have one that could outlast time itself is great.

Having a loved one who's got these traits is awesome,

it is a dream come true for it is a love that is true.
