Then and Now

Father time keeps on ticking,
it seems like only yesterday,
that I was a little boy of five,
yet in reality I'm already an adult.

All the pain and emptiness I've felt,
I thought would've left years back,
thinking that they were left behind,
they keep on haunting me 'til today.

Been trying to be able to please you,
yet why does it seem different for you,
like what I'm doing seems to be wrong,
what I intended it to be goes oppositely.

The last grain of sand falls in the glass,
I wonder when will such happen,
for that signifies that the time has come,
that I shall leave and begone.

Qualities of A Person

Learning the lessons taught today,
keeping in mind what has been done.
Yearning to better yesterday's,
moving on and getting past one.

Thinking not of the negative,
by dwelling on the positive.
Choosing the path to be taken,
some things ending up forsaken.

Taking note of the things needed,
all the good things that has happened.
Noting, specially the bad ones,
we learn a lot of things from those.

Seeing things not as they seem to,
rather seeing them as blessings.
A wonderful life to live to,
very much filled with great tidings
